Lvle Hock, Holier! White. An A Cappela Choir was organized this year after having Girls' Glee Chibs for three years due to the lack of male voices on the campus. The choir meets two periods each week and has been working on selections for programs for the school year 1947-194S. This program will consist of concerts at home and on tour. Tentative plans are now lreing made for next year's program. New music and new risers have !x cn added to the vocal music department this year. New choir vestments have Ih ii ordered and it is hojx d that these robes will lx? ready for the first fall concert. The choir personnel consists of 45 voices and is directed by Miss Clara Mae Ward. 'Hie choir appeared at the Christmas convocation at the College, at the Woman’s Club, and at Bacclaureate this year. A small mimlxT of singers appeared at Holy Week services for the Woman's Club. The Men of Note, a male quartet, was organized and made several appearances during the year. This ensemble group was made up of Robert Gunn. Leslie Gilbertson, Arthur Rindlishacher, and Lyle Iieck. Officers of the A Cappclla Choir are: Tom Ritzinger. president; Jay Whitney, vice-president; Evelyn Sorenson, secretary; Mary Murray, treasurer.
