To inform them of the eurrent University of Wis- consin news, information on camijus anil alumni activities is mailed out periodically to all alumni mem- bers. ' J ' hese ptiblications include the V isconsin Alum- nus, a niontliK magazine: The Wisconsin Alinnmis Football Hulletin: the liadger Report, which serves as a imi crsit% newspa])er: the Cardinal (Communique, which louccnlratcs on budget news and similar univer- sit matters: and the Newsletters, publications which provide recent news. Special emphasis was put on the iMii ersitv ' s building and budget needs this year. The Alumni Association was designated by the Uni- versity Rose Bowl coiiunitlee as the agency to accept contributions for the SoO.OOO fimd to scud the uni cr- sit band to the Rose Bowl. Abner lleald, Milwaukee ahnmius and member of the Board of Visitors, was in charge of the fund operations. Contributions poured in from all over the state, mainly from alumni who were interested in having the band help represent the univer- sit on the W est Coast. W arren P. Knowles, state senator from ]New Rich- mond, was president of the Association this year. The president works with the directors in settling Associa- tion | olic .
