This spirit means reverence for the great men of the past and deep appreciation of their contributions to the progress of humanity; it likewise means reverence for the future and a determination to make that future best serve mankind even if cherished views of the past require modification. Kach student should eagerly catch from his instructors this spirit and pass it on to his fellows; for in so doing he is doubly blessed.
