...dseal Chancellor' ess ge f 89 K NZERS AS Photo by Barrett You of the Graduating Class of l963, passing from College to Business or Professional Life, like those who will follow you, must begin to share the responsibilities of your Alumni and ofthe society in which you live. Freedom from schooling does not imply freedom from learning, nor does it mean freedom from responsibilities. The greater one's success in life's endeavours, the greater are his duties to society. Is it enough to follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before, or should it not be your goal to surpass them, at least to the extent that Western has provided you with better facilities and greater opportunities than they had. The money which made these advantages possible has come very largely from people of vision in the Business World. Many of these fine people did not have your opportunities, but in recognizing Western's true value and great potential they have contributed much to the planning and growth of this University, the benefits of which you have shared since coming to Western. Yours today is the horizon of Business and Service in the tomorrow beyond. ln your ven- tures, do not forget Western and Do unto others who follow, what others have done for you! V. P.
