The lnTermediaTe Rugby Team won The firsT game in anyone's memory, and a loose greased pig in our own STadium called Tor insTanT appeals To The Humane Sociefy. Professor Jenkin broughT home Two soccer championships, and a fuTile aTTempT was made by The Women's Council To have The sTudenTs wear gowns. The UniversiTy ArTisT's ConcerT Series sTarTed, and Then an aTTempT lalso fuTilel was made To pick a Campus Queen. The Carnegie recording machine was seT up in Room l35 Tor The beneT'iT of all The sTudenTs, Brescia had a Swing Time , and The S. A.A. Threw ouT The Tlower peTiTion. We were inviTed To give fifTy cenTs of our cauTion money Toward a new band, and This, coupled wiTh The U. S. C. TheaTre parTy, brings us info The fall of I937 wiTh Don WrighT, BeTh Forbes and The smarTesT band in Canada. Under The impeTus of The famous Kiss-picTure The iniTiaTion died fasT. We aTTended yeT anoTher TheaTre ParTy and heard our Bev raise her lovely voice in song. A. K. K. had a Red- Head Dance aT The HoTel London and D. U. sTarTed The popular scrip dances in ConvocaTion Hall. There was an exTra ToronTo week-end wiTh a play-off game which we losT7 Don Redman played aT The Rugby Dance and Barry HunT and Porge Willis showed us iusT how The Big Apple should be done. We placed four men on The all-sTar Team, and Three girls received marriage proposals by mail from Sfrafhroyg Taylor fThe Thirdl kepT STudenT CourT busy on The longesT case in iTs hisTory, which subsequenTly led To reorganizaTion. The ChrisTmas LiT wiTh F. C. B. as SanTa, and The Co-Ed Prom, ThaT parTy of parTies, bringing wiTh iT head-dresses and handkerchiefs wiTh purple W's, linger long in our memories. Lew Davies broughT home his firsT baskeTball championship, and SyreTT produced The JazzeTTe in which everyThing appeared in reverse. The year wound up wiTh ThaT fine parTy, The Gangsfer Dance, as sponsored by The Commerce Club. And finally, This year, wiTh every experience saddened by The ThoughT This is The lasT . We have a picTure of The campus, in OcTober, green as sea-waTer, supporTing The grey, sTone buildings and The colour-splashed Trees: The sTadium surmounTed by a vaulT of blue, The Tlags hanging limp, The full sTands hushed and The Teams aT aTTenTion for God Save The King by a flashing whiTe and purple band. We remember The valianT TighT for The play-offs and The second game in MonTreal which dashed our hopes of ever seeing a championship, and Porge's crowning glory as All-Canadian cenTre. NexT The Rugby Dance wiTh Trump Davidson and sophisTicaTed swing, wiTh The Big Apple and Truckin' definiTely passe. Sadie Hawkins appeared To give The girls a chance and The boys a break, and The ChrisTmas LiT wiTh Arfhur Lennox as SanTa Claus leaves us an amusing memory. Our PrefecT Tom FausT gives us afTernoon dances in ConvocaTion Hall, and we begin To wish ThaT we could sTarT all over again-The lasT baskeT- ball game, The lasT formal, The lasT examinaTionNand now iT is all done. Done, yes, This phase of our life is now over. BuT whaTa hosT of memories iT leaves behind, requiring buT a small sTimulus To bring Them back in full flood. WhaT a glorious experience iT has been wiTh iTs ambiTions and Triumphs and failures, iTs loves and hearfbreaks, and iTs record of Things meT and conquered. And may The memories of iTs joys refresh us, The experience of iTs Tasks aid us, and The humiliTy of iTs knowledge broaden us as we Take our places in The ways of life which we have chosen.
