foreword . . . Memories are the thoughts of yesterday. They represent the actions of time passed when we were younger and a little more foolish than wise. Memories symbolize the things we were going to do and the things we did. They are passed days of bliss and fantasy when frolic was our candy and work our poison. They are the faded dreams, the lost wishes, and the mis- placed intentions. From all— the sad, the happy, the warm— we grow to realize that every day is a page that soon becomes a book of memories.
