There has never been one of us who has listened to the tramp tramp of footsteps on the old board walk in the dreary drizzle of a night's rain who does not love it. Can you ever forget, in the sunny afternoons of spring the bits of color in canoes drawn up in the peaceful shade of overhanging alders: or the catch and rattle of the oars in the locks, the gurgle and swish of the shell as the bronzed giants pulled away from the hoathouse?
