I A To All Hands: It is a most satisfying experience to witness the metamorphosis of midshipmen into commissioned officers. To have an opportunity to participate and influence these events of this process of transition is more than satisfying. . . . it is often even exhilarating. As my assignment as Professor of Naval Science ends and I return to the Operating Forces, I feel content that the preparation of our prospective officers through the NROTC is better than ever. I am confident that the talented men and women in our program will be worthy recipients of the legacy of proud and vital service to our Nation built up by the Naval Establishment. Many of us will meet again as we fulfill our roles on the Navyfllarine Corps Team.
