nit Staff C Admin. YNSC Dodson YNCS Barry Dodson joined our unit in the spring of 1983. YNCS Dodson entered the Navy in January 1966. He has served in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, at NAS Whiting Field, Florida, in Guam and with NAVSPECWAR Unit 2 jSEALj in Machrinhanish, Scotland. He and his wife Linda, and their two children, Chrissy and Brett, live in Earlysville. Stores l SK1 Feggins SKI Myron Feggins replaced Chief Rankin in the storeroom this spring semester. He was brought up in Newville, Alabama. In 1974 he enlisted into the Navy and has since been stationed in Norfolk, Va., Virginia Beach, Va., and aboard the USS Talbot, which completed a Mediterranean Cruise SK1 Feggins enjoys tennis, basketball and the relaxed atmosphere of Charlottesville. Secretary Mrs. Parkinson Mrs. Janet Parkinson has been a secretary for the Unit since June. 1969. Prior to that time she had worked in the personnel office at the Army's Judge Advocate General School. She has always enjoyed her job here, and is extremely glad she made the change. When not working, Mrs. Parkinson enjoys swimming, reading and aerobics. Secretary Mrs. Shipe Mrs. Kay D. Shipe started working as a secretary for the Unit when her husband, Chief Shipe, reported here in 1978. Prior to her job here, Mrs. Shipe worked in the civilian personnel office at NAS Oceana, Va.. She and her husband and their two children, Elizabeth and DeWayne, live in Charlottesville.

Q nit Staff 1st Year l Lt. Moody Lieutenant Martin Moody arrived here in the fall ot 1981. He majored in Chemistry at the University of Maryland, and entered the Navy through NUPOCS in 1975. After attending prototype training and SWOS, he was assigned to the USS Truxton. where he served as CIC assistant for two years, and qualified as SWO. His next assignment was aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, where he worked in the Reactor Department, and qualified as Propulsion Watch Otficer and Engineering Watch Officer. Lt. Moody and his wife Marsha, and their two children, live in Willoughby. l Asst. MOI GYSGT Warren Gunny Sergeant Edward R. Warren is originally from Windham. Maine. He enlisted into the Marine Corps in 1967. Since then he has been assigned to the First Reconnaissance Battalion in Vietnam: the Riot Control Division in Ouantico, Virginia: drill instructor and primary marksman instructor at Parris Island, Okinawa and Camp Lejeune. The gunny became our Assistant Marine Officer Instructor last Au- gust, just in time to welcome the incoming fourth class midshipmen at O-Week! 1st Year Lt.j.g. Lyle Lt. Deborah A. Lyle replaced Lt. Moody as our first year instructor this spring. She received a BA in psychology at Berkeley and her masters in education at Davis in California. She entered the Navy through OCS. Before arriving in Charlottesville, she worked with the Personnel Support Activity Detachment and Staff. A lover of all sports, she was the world lightweight womens wristwrestling champion in 1976. Among her other interests is real estate. Asst 3rd Year JS omc Pipkins Chief Carl Pipkins joined our unit staff last fall as the assistant third year instructor. He is originally from Brockport, lllinois. Since he enlisted in 1950 he has served on almost all types of fleet ships in U.D,T. and in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Chief Pipkins and his wife. Addie, have five children, and live near Crozet with their youn- gest daughter, Kathy. He enjoys sharing his vast knowledge of navi- gation.
