SIGMA NU PHI JAMES MADISON CHAPTER Founded at National University School of Law in 1902. Established at the Law School in 1938. Since Sigma Nu Phi’s inception at the Law School it has increased its size and activi- ties. The Fraternity provides a social outlet for its members, promotes improvements of Law School facilities and directs the attention of its members to matters of current in- terest through its national magazine, “The Owl.” This year Sigma Nu Phi held several luncheons along with a number of cocktail par- ties. Mr. Priest was undoubtedly the best received speaker this year and the parties that are most vividly remembered were those held at Peter Bass’ and John Roe’s. Last year the Fraternity established the Sigma Nu Phi Book Fund in memory of Bill Miller who was unfortunately killed in a plane crash. The Book Fund is supported by the voluntary contributions of the student body, and is used to provide books for stu- dents on scholarships. Sigma Nu Phi also maintains a free local telephone in the Stu- dent Lounge. This fall the Fraternity captured the intrafraternity football championship by defeat- ing all of the three other legal fraternities for the second year in a row. Our leader. Cool, man, cool.
