V. NI. co-eds. It establishes the rules which regulate dormitory living and sees that they are enforced. The work of run- ning this essential organization is clone by its president, Frances Witham, assisted by the Coun- cil, which, besides the executive ofhcers, includes a house chairman, a social chairman, a scholar- ship chairman and a town representative. There is also a judiciary committee consisting of a chief justice and a representative from each of the three upper classes. This body tries cases involv- ing breaches of Student Union rules. Examination on college and house rules are given to juniors, freshmen and members of house committees. There are four mass meetings held every year which all Women students are required to attend. Each fall Student Union sponsors the Big Sister movement which, providing each fresh- man with an upperclassman big-sister helps be- wildered new students to become acquainted with college life and tradition.
