As the days grow longer and the sun shines more brightly and the snow dissolves before the warm southern breezes, the campus wakes up to a new season, Spring. The baseball squad works out in the cage and limbers up for the southern trip. Track men put in their workouts on the indoor track and the tennis team works out in the gym. The fraternity track teams work out and hold their meet just before vacation. The Phi Delta Thetas sweep through both the track meet and the relays to capture both cups, followed by the Sigma Alpha Epsilon outfit. The interfraternity sing confirmed the fact that Spring was here, and the Sigma Alpha Epsilon singers carried away the Carroll Trophy for the third consecutive time to gain permanent possession of the cup. With blue skies, soft breezes, the trickling of running Water, the crack of bats on horsehide, the pounding of runners on the cinder track, soft nights, fraternity and sorority formals, boy and THE OLD MILL, LOOKING WELL THIS SPRING girl combinations strolling along the sun light walks, slow greening of the grass, the budding of leaves, Winter gives up the ghost and Spring comes to Vermont.
