0-min Lights fade, and across the campus the solitary, reminiscent alumni Walk. The smell of burning leaves floats through the haze of dusk. In the distance the thump of a punted football, the calls and laughter of far-off celebrants. Strains of music wafted from the fraternity tea dances, and the low murmur of strolling couples, all combine to make more distinct the quiet of the dying day. Scenes of former days blend with the present to make it truly a day of Homecoming. THE CANE RUSH THEY GOT HIM THIS TIME HOW ABOUT THIS?

z'Ae Ta!! to drive the student indoors for his entertainment. The interfraternity football league finishes with Kappa Sigma triumphant and the varsity team, after losing to a powerful Norwich squad, rounds out its season with a rousing victory over Middlebury-through a driving snow and on a muddy field Vermont senior stars--Taylor, Carlson, Lawrence, Strassburg, Reed, Salmon, Utley, Reed. Pye, Nichols, Broutsas and Corbett, drive to victory in the manner which marks them as the finest Vermont has ever produced. Moving indoors with the start of the basketball season, the season of the dances begins. The Military Ball, colorful and impressive, finds Miss Sally Rome, a most charming Co-ed Major reigning over the festivities. The Key and Serpent Football Hop, in honor of the football squad, marks the official close of the football season.
