Everyday a Procor Unit Train hauls a good part of a mountain from Cadomin to Edmonton. Everyday, other Procor Unit Trains are moving enor- mous quantities of sulphur, coal, fuel oil and sulphuric acid, all across the country. The Procor Unit Train is the simplest, most effi- cient way to move large quantities of raw materials. The train is designed to carry a specific cargo-and it carries no other. The train is routed from Point A to Point B at specific times and there are no delays or shuntings onto sidings. The train is yours- exclusively, and is as big or as small as you require. Working in conjunction with the railway concerned, Procor designs the train as well as the loading and unloading facilities. We even build the train and maintain the train over its operating life. All this to assure you of the smoothest operation at the lowest possible cost per ton m ile. You can either lease the system from Procor or subcontract the entire trans- portation problem to us on a per ton moved basis. Then, you can concentrate on what you know best, mining-and and we can concentrate on what we know best-transportation. When you ' ve located the “mother lode and you know you ' re going to have to move it, talk to us. Call Gordon Mills, the head of our Rail Car Division, at (416) 362-2641. We ' ve had a lot of experience moving mountains. PROCOR RAIL CAR DIVISION, 2001 Speers Road, Oakville, Ontario

Despite the image that is promoted at annual orientation activities by the mentors of the senior classes, nursing has been desperately attempting to exorcise the ghosts of the Crimea and establish itself as a responsible, autonomous profession. Rarely does one hear of the women in nursing who contest the traditional image of the manipulative subordinate: serving client, husband and or lover with equal selfishless martyrdom. In light of the initiation ceremonies each fall at U of T, one might have dif- ficulty believing that nurses ever looked up from their neatly made beds (by day) or kitchen sinks (by night) to examine the world outside.. However, there are many that do — many who are struggling to achieve the recognition that has so long been deserved. In fact, these women were once in- volved in the activities that they are now attempting to discourage. So next year when the elusive showers of Devonshire spread their silvery wings and Flaming Marne resounds on campus, remember: “the mind (of a nurse) is like an iceberg — it floats with only one-seventh of its bulk above water.” 11

The scavenger hunt was the only poorly at- tended event during orientation, suffering due to the weather. Nevertheless, an incredible swath of destruction was wrought upon the city by only 25 Flrosh. A picnic at High Park was originally planned to conclude the hunt, but the abundance of rain prompted all to consider an indoor bar- becue in the Engineering Society Offices. Unfortunately no one thought to consider the fire department. ‘Anyone caught doing something legal is disqualified.’ SCAVENGER HUNT
