C -, . -i. Organizations The Pan American With the resignation of Jim Townsend at mid-year, Craig Smith was named the editor of The Pan American. Under its student leadership The Pan American strives to cover the campus thoroughly. Printed at The Daily Review in Edinburg, the staff pastes upn the newspaper every Tuesday afternoon. Ron Keller is the graduate assistant and Harry Quin is fac- ulty advisor. Y L

Organizations a. Bill Griffin was one of the new staff members who came in at the start of the spring semester. b. Ron Keller was the graduate assistant to the newspaper staff. c. Beatrice Egle, David Newman, and Craig Smith prepared copy for another issue of the Pan American in the newspaper staff office. Student Publications later moved to larger offices on the first floor of Emilia Hall. d. Martha McClain ponders a moment on her notes before writing her story. e. Every Tuesday afternoon, members of the newspaper staff paste up what eventually will be The Pan American. f. Craig Smith was approved as editor by the Publications Committee after Jim Townsend resigned. g. Another newcomer to the newspaper staff was Randy Willard. The Brass Ensemble, made up of members of the band, performed various concerts in the Valley. l a. Members practice every day to improve the I quality of their performances. . . . . 1 , X r b.
