Carnival of the Great Pumpkin See It Linus! Despite some confusion as to when the Carnival of the Great Pumpkin was scheduled, it turned out to be one of the most successful carnivals in several years. The Carnival set-up was characterized by the traditional circular pattern, around which the booths were placed. In the center of the circle, three bands played continuous music, one after the other. The UCPC spon- sored carnival afforded each organization the opportunity to have a money raising project and enhance school spirit by ini- tiating competition among the ,SX various organizations and Greeks, for a S100 first place prize for the most original booth. Among the various booths were: a marriage booth, bucking bar- rel, egg-throwing booth, brain- wash-a-prof, and several others. Bronco Days Root beer chugging, cow chip throwing, cigar smoking, bat relay, three-legged race and tug- o-war were some of the strange goings-on,' at PAU during the traditional Bronco Days. A rodeo with several events was put on by the Rodeo Club. One of the highlights of Bronco Days was the selection of a Bronco Queen.
