Sports Win Bars, Rings Three individual winners were produced, in the spring of '74, by Pan Am in competition against Texas A8LM University's gym- nastics. Sally Miller captured the uneven bars event, Bob Welsh the rings and Craig Nidever the parallel bars, horizontal bar and men's all-around. Pan Am's other team members who placed were: Rose Gonzalez in floor exercise, secondg Debbie Mose- ley, third in the same event. Alma Mendez was third in the uneven bars. Despite these wins and placements, Texas A8LM took the tournament 62-37. Experienced, Coach Otis Budd's ymnastics team anticipated a etter productive year for the spring of '75, a. Gymnastics team president, Bob Welsh, demonstrated good gymnastic style while per- forming during the Fall show at PAU. b. Cecil Nidever took part in the first outdoor gymnastics exhibition during the fall. c. The women on the gymnastics team were: Alma Mendez, Ruth Jasso, Alicia Garza, Sally Miller, Estella Correa, Yolanda Garza, Dawn Casi, Anna Navarro, Louri Street. These women were eager to try their skill again in the spring of '75 competition. d. Pan Am men representing the Broncs in gymnastics events were: Front row: Gary Popel- sky, Randy Billman, Fred Flores, Roel Casares.
