In tram urn Is Michelle Robbcnon John Fuxwunh Intramural teams maintain section ties Intramural sports teams are one of the most successful ways law students continue their first-year Section tics throughout law- school. Often the original section softball or football team will survive through three years of play with the same name and »amc competitors. Or, it may last longer. Take the legal Eagles, who have been in ex-stence for many years. Their success is inparalleled — Legal Eagles’ coach Charles Alan Wright has been said to e the most successful coach in the Southwest, with a better record than even Fred Akers or Barry Switzer. The Legal Eagles are currently in transition moving from Coach Wright to a new coach, Professor Tom McGarity. In 1986, the Eagles did make it to the football playoff finals, but didn’t quite pull it out. There’s always next year, right? Law students are highly visible in other Rec Sports divisions, including basketball, soccer, baseball and volleyball. And the Law Week softball tournament is eagerly anticipated by law school ball players — the victory t-shirts are most coveted. Inrramurals — 23
