RICHARD V. BARNDT Associate Professor Of Law Mr. Barndt holds B.S.L. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Utah. He has been Assistant Professor at the University of Montana, the University of Houston, and the University of Washington. He came to the University of Texas in 1964 as Associate Professor. He teaches Contracts, Legislation, and Language and Logic in The Law. W. W. GIBSON Associate Professor Of Law Mr. Gibson received his B.A. degree in 1954 and his LL.B. degree in 1956, both from the University of Texas. He is a member of the Amarillo Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association. Mr. Gibson was a partner in the Amarillo law firm of Gibson, Ochsner, Harlan, Kinney Morris from 1956 to 1965. Legal Profession and Wills and Estates are the courses which Mr. Gibson teaches. ALLEN E. SMITH Assistant Professor Of Law Mr. Smith received his B.A. from the University of Texas in I960 and his LL.B. from Texas Law School in 1961. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1961. Prior to his return to Texas as an Assistant Professor of Law in 1964, Mr. Smith served as a law clerk for Judge Hutcheson of the United States Circuit Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit. He was also in private practice in Beaumont with Orgain, Bell and Tucker from 1962 to 1964. Mr. Smith is currently teaching Contracts, Constitutional Law and the Judicial Administration Seminar. 24

FRED COHEN Associate Professor Of Law Mr. Cohen holds B.S. and LL.B. degrees from Temple University. He received his LL.M. in 1961, from Yale University. He was an Assistant Professor of Law at Denver University from 1961 to 1963, and became a permanent member of the Texas faculty in 1963. Mr. Cohen lectures in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminal Correction. Mr. Cohen has been named the faculty consultant to The Southwest Center for Law and the Behavioral Sciences. STANLEY M. JOHANSON Associate Professor Of Law Mr. Johanson received his B.S. at Yale University in 1955. He took his LL.B. from the University’ of Washington in 1958, and was then admitted to the Washington Bar. Mr. Johanson served as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University from 1961 to 1963, and received his LL.M. from Harvard in 1963. He joined the University' of Texas Law Faculty in 1963 as an Associate Professor. Mr. Johanson teaches Property-, Wills and Estates and Government Contract Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal and Washington Bars. ROBERT W. HAMILTON Associate Professor Of Law Mr. Hamilton received his B.A. degree from Swarthmore College in 1952, and in 1955 obtained a J.D. from the University of Chicago School of Law. He served as Law Clerk to Justice Clark of the United States Supreme Court from 1955-56. Mr. Hamilton was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1956. He left private practice in Washington, D.C., to join the Texas Law Faculty in 1964. Mr. Hamilton lectures in Contracts, Creditor’s Rights and Business Associations. 23

JOEL J. FINER Assistant Professor Of Law Mr. Finer received his B.B.A. from City College of New York in 1959. In 1963 he was awarded both a M.A. and a LL.B. from Yale University. Mr. Finer joined the Texas Law Faculty in 1964, after having served as law clerk to U.S. Circuit Judge George T. Washington. Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, and Comparative Constitutional Law arc the courses Mr. Finer teaches. PAUL F. ROTHSTEIN Assistant Professor Of Law Mr. Rothstcin received his B.S.L. from Northwestern in 1959. and his LL.B. also from Northwestern, in 1961. He studied at Oxford University, England, from 1961 to 1963, as a Fulbright Scholar. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1961. Prior to coming to Texas, he taught at the University of Michigan and the University of Florida. Mr. Rothstcin is the author of The Attack on Market Security in the United Kingdom and the United States. Mr. Rothstcin came to the University of Texas in 1964, and is currently lecturing in Criminal Law, Evidence and Conflicts. MARSHALL SHAPO Assistant Professor Of Law Mr. Shapo holds the A.B. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Miami and the A.M. and S.J.D. degrees from Harvard. Mr. Shapo was a student instructor in Research Writing in 1963 and 1964. He teaches Injuries to Relations, Torts, and Business Associations. 25
