CHARLES A. WRIGHT Professor Of Law Charles T. McCormick Professorship Mr. Wright received his A.B. degree from Wesleyan University in 1947, and his LL.B. from Yale University in 1949. In 1950. he was an Assistant Professor at Minnesota University, becoming an Associate Professor in 1953. He joined the Texas Faculty in 1955. Mr. Wright is a member of the United States Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Civil Procedure. He is the author of Wright's Minnesota Rules. Cases on Remedies and several books on Federal Procedure. Mr. Wright teaches Federal Procedure, Labor Relations, Constitutional Law and Remedies. PIERRE R. LOISEAUX Professor Of Law Mr. Loiseaux took his LL.B. at Boston University in 1950, and in 1951, he received his LL.M. at the New York University School of Law. While at New York University, he was a Teaching Fellow. Before coming to the University of Texas, Mr. Loiseaux was an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Arkansas, and an Associate Professor of Law at Emory University. He joined our faculty in 1957, and since then, he has lectured on Creditors Rights. Labor Law. Fraud and Mistake, and Contracts. Mr. Loiseaux is a member of the American. Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators, and the Labor Law Group Trust. E. WAYNE THODE Professor Of Law Mr. Thode received his B.S. degree from the University of Illinois in 1943, his LL.B. from the University of Texas in 1950, and his S.J.D. in 1964, from Harvard. He was Briefing Attorney for the Supreme Court of Texas from 1950 to 1951, and was Assistant Attorney General of Texas in 1951 and 1952. Ending three years of private practice in 1955, Mr. Thode joined the Law Faculty as an Associate Professor, becoming a Professor of Law in 1959- Mr. Thode lectures in Procedure II, Torts, and Injuries to Relations.

J- HENRY WILKINSON Professor Of Law Mr. Wilkinson received his B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina in 1934, and his LL.B., with honors, from the University of Texas in 1949-He was an accountant after, he graduated from South Carolina until 1937, when he became an Agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945, being honorably discharged as a Lt. Commander. He first joined the Law Faculty in 1950, as an Assistant Professor of Law. He then left the Law School for private practice in Midland, returning in 1957 as a Professor of Law. Mr. Wilkinson is a member of the Permanent Tax Council, and has lectured several times at the Annual Tax Conference sponsored by the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Wilkinson lectures in Federal Estate and Gift Taxation, Oil and Gas Tax Law, Federal Income Tax Law, Tax Seminar and Legal Accounting. Mr. Wilkinson was a 1965 Peregrinus dedicatee. WILLIAM F. FRITZ Professor Of Law Mr. Fritz received his B.A. degree and his M.A. degree from the University of Texas, the latter having been awarded in 1938. Upon completion of his law studies in 1946, Mr. Fritz began his teaching career at the University of Texas Law School. During 1949 he was a Sterling Fellow at Yale University School of Law. Mr. Fritz was made Professor of Law at Texas in 1956, having previously been both Assistant and Associate Professor of Law’. His subjects are Marital Rights, Property and Damages. Mr. Fritz co-authored the casebook, Cases and Materials on Property, with Messrs, Corwin Johnson and John Cribbett. E. ERNEST GOLDSTEIN Professor Of Law Mr. Goldstein received his A.B. in 1939 from Amherst College, and his LL.B. from Georgetown University in 1947. He then attended Wisconsin University School of Law and obtained his S.J.D. in 1956. He served w'ith the Justice Department from 1947 to 1949, and with the War Claims Division from 1949 to 1951. He held other government posts as Assistant Counsel, Special Senate Crime Committee in 1951, General Counsel Monopoly Sub-Committee of the House Committee on the Judiciary in 1951 and 1952, and finally as United States Representative at the OEEC in Paris from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Goldstein came to the University of Texas School of Law' in 1955 as an Associate Professor. He was promoted to Professor in 1958. His subjects arc: Government Regulation, International Law, Common Market Seminar and Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Law-. Mr. Goldstein is a member of the American Society of International Law and the Texas and District of Columbia Bars. 19

LEON LEBOWITZ Professor Of Law Mr. Lebowitz received his A.B. from Baylor University in 1940. his LL.B. in 1943 (Baylor), and his LL.M. from New York University in 1952. From 1946 to 1948, he was an Assistant Professor and Law Librarian at Baylor University Law School. Mr. Lebowitz joined the University of Texas Law Faculty in 1955 as a Visiting Professor of Law and rose to Professor of Law in 1957. He teaches Introduction to Legal Processes, Business Associations, Partnership. Fiduciary Administration and Seminar on Law and Fthics. WOODFIN L. BUTTE Professor Of Law Mr. Butte received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas in 1927. and his LL.B. from Yale University in 1931. In addition, Mr. Butte holds a Dr. of Political Sciences from the University of Central Venezuela. Mr. Butte has practiced law in numerous Latin American countries, and is a member of the American Society of International Law. His courses at the University arc Conflicts and Civil Law. FRANK W. ELLIOTT, JR. Professor Of Law Mr. Elliot received his B.A. degree in 1951, and his LL.B. in 1957. both from the University of Texas. Subsequent to graduation Mr. Elliot worked in the Attorney General’s office, and later clerked for the Supreme Court of Texas. He teaches Introduction, Procedure II and III, and Remedies. Mr. Elliot co-authored the casebook, Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure, with Messrs. Gus Hodges and Albert Jones. 21
