ALBERT P. JONES Professor Of Law Mr. Jones received his B.A., M.A., and LL.B. from the University of Texas with highest honors. He engaged in civil practice in Houston from 1930 to 1962, and is past-President of the Houston and Texas Bar Associations, and a member of the Supreme Court of Texas Advisory Committee on Rules of Civil Procedure. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. He is co-author of Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure with Messrs. Frank Elliott and Gus Hodges. Mr. Jones lectures in Procedure III, Procedure II, Federal Courts, and Legal Profession. JOSEPH P. WITHERSPOON Professor Of Law Mr. Witherspoon received his A.B. degree from the University of Chicago in 1936, and his LL.B. in 1948, from the University of Texas. The degree of S.J.D. was conferred upon Mr. Witherspoon by Harvard University in 1961. He joined the Texas Law Faculty in 1948 as Assistant Professor, becoming Professor of Law in 1955. Mr. Witherspoon was Consultant to the United States Commission on Civil Rights in 1964. He is the author of Cases and Materials in Antitrust Law. Mr. Witherspoon lectures on Administrative Law, Antitrust Law, Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence and Legal Process. PARKER C. FIELDER Professor Of Law W. H. Francis Professorship Mr. Fielder received his B.S. degree at Northwestern University in 1941. He received his LL.B. at the University of Texas in 1948, and began teaching immediately upon graduating. Mr. Fielder served as an Associate Professor from 1948 to 1953, when he moved to Midland, to go into private practice. Mr. Fielder returned to the Law School in 1961, and became the William H. Francis, Jr., Professor of Law. He lectures in Business Associations I and II, Oil and Gas Taxation, Federal Taxation and Estate and Gift Taxation. During 1964-1965 Mr. Fielder was a Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. 18

CORWIN W. JOHNSON Professor Of Law Mr. Johnson received his A.B. from the University of Iowa in 1939 and his J.D. from Iowa in 1941. In 1942 he became a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He joined the Faculty of the University of Iowa in 1946 as an Instructor. In 1941 and 1947, he was a Sterling Fellow at Yale University. Mr. Johnson came to the Texas Faculty-in 1947, and has been a Professor of Law since 1954. Mr. Johnson is a co-author of Cases and Materials on Property, written in collaboration with Messrs. Cribbett and Fritz. He teaches Property, Water Law, Texas Land Titles, and Land Use Planning. JOHN F. SUTTON Professor Of Law Mr. Sutton was in private practice in San Antonio from 1941-1957. He received his LL.B. with honors from the University of Texas in 1941. From 1941-1945, he was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the International Association of Insurance Counsel and the Legal Committee of the Interstate Oil Compact Committee. Mr. Sutton is presently rewriting the Canons of Ethics as Reporter for the Special Committee on Evaluation of Ethical Standards of the American Bar Association. He came to the University to teach in 1957 and lectures in Torts, Legal Profession, Oil and Gas, and Evidence. KEITH E. MORRISON Professor Of Law Mr. Morrison attended the University of Kansas and received his B.A. in 1931. He received his M.S. from the University of Wyoming in 1939. From 1939 to 1941, he was an economist for the Agricultural Extension Service of the University of Wyoming. He completed his legal training in 1948 at Yale, coming to the University as an Associate Professor of Law. He has been a Professor since 1951. Mr. Morrison teaches Constitutional Law, Federal Taxation, and Estate and Gift Taxation. 17

J- HENRY WILKINSON Professor Of Law Mr. Wilkinson received his B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina in 1934, and his LL.B., with honors, from the University of Texas in 1949-He was an accountant after, he graduated from South Carolina until 1937, when he became an Agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945, being honorably discharged as a Lt. Commander. He first joined the Law Faculty in 1950, as an Assistant Professor of Law. He then left the Law School for private practice in Midland, returning in 1957 as a Professor of Law. Mr. Wilkinson is a member of the Permanent Tax Council, and has lectured several times at the Annual Tax Conference sponsored by the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Wilkinson lectures in Federal Estate and Gift Taxation, Oil and Gas Tax Law, Federal Income Tax Law, Tax Seminar and Legal Accounting. Mr. Wilkinson was a 1965 Peregrinus dedicatee. WILLIAM F. FRITZ Professor Of Law Mr. Fritz received his B.A. degree and his M.A. degree from the University of Texas, the latter having been awarded in 1938. Upon completion of his law studies in 1946, Mr. Fritz began his teaching career at the University of Texas Law School. During 1949 he was a Sterling Fellow at Yale University School of Law. Mr. Fritz was made Professor of Law at Texas in 1956, having previously been both Assistant and Associate Professor of Law’. His subjects are Marital Rights, Property and Damages. Mr. Fritz co-authored the casebook, Cases and Materials on Property, with Messrs, Corwin Johnson and John Cribbett. E. ERNEST GOLDSTEIN Professor Of Law Mr. Goldstein received his A.B. in 1939 from Amherst College, and his LL.B. from Georgetown University in 1947. He then attended Wisconsin University School of Law and obtained his S.J.D. in 1956. He served w'ith the Justice Department from 1947 to 1949, and with the War Claims Division from 1949 to 1951. He held other government posts as Assistant Counsel, Special Senate Crime Committee in 1951, General Counsel Monopoly Sub-Committee of the House Committee on the Judiciary in 1951 and 1952, and finally as United States Representative at the OEEC in Paris from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Goldstein came to the University of Texas School of Law' in 1955 as an Associate Professor. He was promoted to Professor in 1958. His subjects arc: Government Regulation, International Law, Common Market Seminar and Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Law-. Mr. Goldstein is a member of the American Society of International Law and the Texas and District of Columbia Bars. 19
