MILLARD H. RUUD Associate Dean Professor Of Law Mr. Ruud received his B. S. I. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Minnesota, in 1942 and 1947, respectively. He came to the University of Texas in 1948, as an Associate Professor of Law, after having served in that capacity at the University of Kansas in 1947 and 1948. He was made a Professor of Law in 1950. Mr. Ruud served as Assistant Executive Director of the Texas Legislative Council from 1950 to 1952. He is General Editor and co-author of the Texas Study of the Uniform Commercial Code. Mr. Ruud teaches Legislation, Commercial Law and Local Government. MARION K. WOODWARD Professor Of Law Mr. Woodward received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas in 1933 and his M.A. from West Texas State College in 1940. He returned to the University for his LL.B. which was conferred in 1943. After World War II, he was in private practice in Amarillo. He joined the law faculty in 1946. Mr. Woodward was made a Professor of Law in 1950. In that same year, he was honored as a Sterling Fellow at Yale University. Mr. Woodward has also served in the capacities of acting Dean, Assistant and Associate Dean of the University of Texas School of Law. He lectures in Mortgages, Texas Land Titles, Fiduciary Administration, and Oil and Gas. Mr. Woodward is a coauthor of the Oil and Gas casebook. CARL H. FULDA Professor Of Law Hugh Lamar Stone Chair Mr. Fulda was awarded a J.V.D. in 1931 from the University of Freiburg and an LL.B. from Yale University in 1938. From 1946 to 1954, Mr. Fulda was a Professor of Law at Rutgers University School of Law. In 1954, he joined the faculty of Ohio State University College of Law. He came to the University in 1964. Mr. Fulda is the author of many articles in legal periodicals. He is on the Board of Editors of the American Journal of Comparative Law and the Journal of International Law and Commerce. During 1959-1960, he was a Ford Foundation Fellow. Mr. Fulda lectures in Government Regulation, Administrative Law, and International Transactions and Transportation and teaches a seminar in World Trade. 16

GUS M. HODGES Professor Of Law Hines H. Baker Professorship Mr. Hodges received his LL.B. from the School of Law in 1932. He had previously received the B.B.A. degree in 1930. He was admitted to the Bar in 1932 and practiced law in Dallas until 1940. In that year, he joined the faculty as an Associate Professor. He has lectured in Judicial Remedies, Trial Procedures and Pleading, and Appellate Procedure. He is the author of the standard w'ork, Special Issue Submission in Texas, which earned him the recognition as the foremost authority of that facet of Texas practice. He has served as a Commissioner on Uniform State Law. He co-authored the casebook, Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure. WILLIAM ORR HUIE Professor’Of Law Sylvan Lang Professorship Mr. Huie holds a B.A. from the Henderson State College, an LL.B. from the University of Texas, and an S.J.D. from Harvard. He was admitted to practice in 1935, joining the faculty as an Associate Professor in 1936. He became a Professor in 1946. Mr. Huie served as the Assistant Dean from 1946 to 1948. His publications include: Cases on Oil and Gas, Texas Cases on Marital Rights, Cases on Texas Land Limitations, Texas Public Lands, and Texas Supplement on Administration of Estates. Mr. Huie lectures on Oil and Gas, Marital Rights, Texas Land Titles, and Trusts. JERRE S. WILLIAMS Professor Of Law Rex G. Baker Professorship Mr. Williams received the A.B. from the University of Denver and the LL.B. from Columbia. From 1941 to 1942, he served as an Instructor of Law’ and Faculty Editor of the Iow'a Law Review at the University of Iowa. He served with the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. In 1946, he came to the University as an Associate Professor, rising to Professor in 1950. Mr. Williams has served in the capacities of Attorney of the Office of Price Administration and Associate Director of the Study of Loyalty-Security Programs of the City of New’ York Bar Association. He has published Cases and Materials on Employees Rights, Labor Relations and the Law, and treatises on the structure of the legal system. 15

CORWIN W. JOHNSON Professor Of Law Mr. Johnson received his A.B. from the University of Iowa in 1939 and his J.D. from Iowa in 1941. In 1942 he became a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He joined the Faculty of the University of Iowa in 1946 as an Instructor. In 1941 and 1947, he was a Sterling Fellow at Yale University. Mr. Johnson came to the Texas Faculty-in 1947, and has been a Professor of Law since 1954. Mr. Johnson is a co-author of Cases and Materials on Property, written in collaboration with Messrs. Cribbett and Fritz. He teaches Property, Water Law, Texas Land Titles, and Land Use Planning. JOHN F. SUTTON Professor Of Law Mr. Sutton was in private practice in San Antonio from 1941-1957. He received his LL.B. with honors from the University of Texas in 1941. From 1941-1945, he was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the International Association of Insurance Counsel and the Legal Committee of the Interstate Oil Compact Committee. Mr. Sutton is presently rewriting the Canons of Ethics as Reporter for the Special Committee on Evaluation of Ethical Standards of the American Bar Association. He came to the University to teach in 1957 and lectures in Torts, Legal Profession, Oil and Gas, and Evidence. KEITH E. MORRISON Professor Of Law Mr. Morrison attended the University of Kansas and received his B.A. in 1931. He received his M.S. from the University of Wyoming in 1939. From 1939 to 1941, he was an economist for the Agricultural Extension Service of the University of Wyoming. He completed his legal training in 1948 at Yale, coming to the University as an Associate Professor of Law. He has been a Professor since 1951. Mr. Morrison teaches Constitutional Law, Federal Taxation, and Estate and Gift Taxation. 17
