JOEL J. FINER Assistant Professor of Low Mr. Finer received his B.B.A. from City College of New York in 1959. In 1963 he was awarded both a M.A. and a LL.B. from Yale University. Mr. Finer joined the Texas Law Faculty in 1964. after having served as law clerk to U.S. Circuit Judge George T. Washington. Criminal Law. Constitutional Law, and Comparative Constitutional Law are the courses Mr. Finer teaches. ... faculty SANFORD FOX Visiting Professor of Low Mr. Fox received his A.B. degree from the University of Illinois in 1950, and his LL.B. from Harvard in 1953. He became a Teaching Fellow at the Harvard Law School in 1957. In 1958-1959 he was Assistant Director of the Columbia University Project for Effective Justice. Since 1959 he has been teaching at the Boston College Law School. Mr. Fox has received two Ford Foundation grants and a fellowship from the National Institute of Mental Health for work on science in penal law. He is a member of the Massachusetts Crime Commission and the International Society of Criminology. Mr. Fox is teaching Criminal Law, Federal Courts, and a seminar in Juvenile Delinquency at the University. 27

FRED COHEN Associate Professor of Law Mr. Cohen holds B.S. and LL.B. degrees from Temple University. Ho received his LL.M. in 1961, from Yale University. He was Assistant Professor of Law at Denver University from 1961 to 1963, and became a permanent member of the Texas faculty in 1963. Mr. Cohen lectures in Constitutional Law. Criminal Law. Criminal Procedure and Criminal Correction. Mr. Cohen has been named the faculty consultant to The Southwest Center for Law and the Behavioral Sciences. FRANK W. ELLIOTT, JR. Associate Professor of Law Mr. Elliott received his B.A. degree in 1951, and his LL.B. in 1957, both from the University of Texas. Subsequent to graduation Mr. Elliott worked in the Attorney General’s office, and later he clerked for tho Supremo Court of Texas. He teaches Introduction, Procedure II and III, and Remedies. Mr. Elliott co-authored tho casebook, Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure, with Messrs. Gus Hodges and Albert Jones. PARKER C. FIELDER Professor of Law Mr. Fielder received his B.S. degree at Northwestern University in 1941. He received his LL.B. at the University of Texas in 1948, and began teaching immediately upon graduating. Mr. Fielder served as an Associate Professor from 1948 to 1953, when he moved to Midland, to go into private practice. Mr. Fie'der returned to the Law School in 1961, and bocame the William H. Francis. Jr.. Professor of Law. He lectures in Business Associations I and II, Oil and Gas Taxation. Federal Taxation and Estate and Gift Taxation. During 1964 1965 Mr. Fielder was a Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. 26

WILLIAM F. FRITZ Professor of Law Mr. Fritz received his B.A. degree and his M.A. degree from the University of Texas, the latter having been awarded in 1938. Upon completion of his law studies in 1946, Mr. Fritz began his toaching career at the University of Texas Law School. During 1949 he was a Sterling Fellow at Yale University School of Law. Mr. Fritz was made Professor of Law at Texas in 1956. having previously been both Assistant ond Associate Professor of Law. His subjects are Marital Rights, Property and Damages. Mr.. Fritz co-authored the casebook. Cases and Materials on Property, w'th Messrs. Corwin Johnson and John Cribbett. CARL H. FULDA Professor of Lav Mr. Fulda was awarded a J.V.D. in 1931 from the University of Freiburg and an LL.8. from Yale University in 1938. From 1946 to 1954 Mr. Fulda was a Professor of Law at Rutger University Law School. In 1954 he joined the faculty of Ohio State Un versity College of Low. He came to the University of ‘I’exas Law School in 1964. Mr. Fulda is the author of numerous articles in legal periodicals. He is on the Boaro of Editors of the American Journal of Comparative Law and the Journal of International Law and Commerce. During 1959-1960 he was a Ford Foundation Fe low. This yea'- Mr. Fulda is teaching Government Regulations, Administrative Law, International Transactions and a Seminar in Transportation. THOMAS J. GIBSON, III Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor of Law Dear Gibson received his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1939, and his LL.B. from the Law School in 1948. He was admitted to practice in Texas in 1949. Dean Gibson was instructor at the University in 1950 and 1951, and Texas State Librarian from 1952 to 1954. He came to the Law School in 1954 as Assistant Professor and Associate Librarian. He has keen Assistant Dean since 1956. Dean Gibson teaches Lege Bibliography. 28 ... faculty
