COL. LEO G. BLACKSTOCK Visiting Professor of Law Co!. Blackstock hods B.A.. M.B.A., and LL.B. degrees from the University of Texas. He was admitted to practice in Texas in 1933. From 1937-1938, he was Chief Examiner for the Gas Utilities Division of the Railroad Commission. He has been a colonel in the Un ted States Army since 1946. and was Chief of the Prosecution Division, Legal Section, of the General Headquarters in Tokyo from 1945 to 1948. Col. Blackstock has been Visiting Professor of Law at Texas since 1953, and Professor of Business Law at the main University since 1927. Col. Blackstock teaches Military Law. WOODFIN L. BUTTE Professor of Law Mr. Butte received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas in 1927, and his LL.B. from Yale University in 1931. In addition, Mr. 8utte ho'ds a Dr. of Political Sciences from the University of Central Venezuela. Mr. Butte has practiced law in numerous Latin American countries, and is a member of the American Society of International Law. His courses at the University are Conflicts and Civil War. DAVID B. CASSON Visiting Professor of Law Mr. Casson took his LL.B. at The London School of Economics in 1957, and his J.D. in 1958, from the University of Chicago. He practiced law in England from 1961 to 1964 and lectured at Holborn College in London from 1962 to 1964. Mr. Casson teaches Torts. Constitutional Law, and Agency. 25

EDWARD WELDON BAILEY Professor of Law Mr. Bailey began practice with Calloway and Reed of Dallas in 1928. after having received his B.A. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Texas. He became Associate Professor of Law in 1930, and has been Professor of Law since 1936. He received his S.J.D. from Harvard University in 1942. Mr. Bailey assisted in drafting the new Texas Business Corporations Act, and he is a member of the Texas Bar Committee on Rovision of Corporation Law. He is now the Burleson Professor of Law. Mr. Bailey's subjects include Trusts. Wills and Estates, Agency and Commercial Law. RICHARD V. BARNDT Associate Professor of Law Mr. Borndt holds B.S.L. and LL.B. degrees from the Univorsity of Utah. He has been Assistant Professor at the University of Montana, the University of Houston, ond the University of Washington. He came to the University of Texas in 1964 as Associate Professor. He teaches Contracts, Legislation, and Language and Logic in The Law. . faculty

FRED COHEN Associate Professor of Law Mr. Cohen holds B.S. and LL.B. degrees from Temple University. Ho received his LL.M. in 1961, from Yale University. He was Assistant Professor of Law at Denver University from 1961 to 1963, and became a permanent member of the Texas faculty in 1963. Mr. Cohen lectures in Constitutional Law. Criminal Law. Criminal Procedure and Criminal Correction. Mr. Cohen has been named the faculty consultant to The Southwest Center for Law and the Behavioral Sciences. FRANK W. ELLIOTT, JR. Associate Professor of Law Mr. Elliott received his B.A. degree in 1951, and his LL.B. in 1957, both from the University of Texas. Subsequent to graduation Mr. Elliott worked in the Attorney General’s office, and later he clerked for tho Supremo Court of Texas. He teaches Introduction, Procedure II and III, and Remedies. Mr. Elliott co-authored tho casebook, Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure, with Messrs. Gus Hodges and Albert Jones. PARKER C. FIELDER Professor of Law Mr. Fielder received his B.S. degree at Northwestern University in 1941. He received his LL.B. at the University of Texas in 1948, and began teaching immediately upon graduating. Mr. Fielder served as an Associate Professor from 1948 to 1953, when he moved to Midland, to go into private practice. Mr. Fie'der returned to the Law School in 1961, and bocame the William H. Francis. Jr.. Professor of Law. He lectures in Business Associations I and II, Oil and Gas Taxation. Federal Taxation and Estate and Gift Taxation. During 1964 1965 Mr. Fielder was a Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. 26
