Pa Q e Keeto n Deen of the School of Law Professor of Law Upon graduating from The University of Texas School of Law, Dean Keeton joined his alma mater as Assistant Professor of Law in 1932. He became Associate Professor of Law in 1936, and Professor of Law in 1939. He was Assistant Dean of the School of Law in 1940-1942, and has been Dean since 1949. Dean Keeton was on leave of absence 1942-1945, when he served successively in the OHice of Price Administration as Chief Counsel of the Petroleum Branch, Division Counsel fFuel Divisionl, and Price Executive of the Petroleum Branch, and as Assistant Chief Counsel of Petroleum Administration for War, Washington, D. C. From 1946 to 1949 he was Dean of the University of Oklahoma Law School. He was on leave of absence at the University of California during the spring semester of 1958. He is editor of Cases on Fraud and Mistake and co-editor of Seavey, Keeton and Thurston, Cases on Torts. Dean Keeton's tenure as Dean has resulted in superior facilities for the training of qualified attorneys through his efforts in securing the new Law Building, highly qualified professors, and a more adequate legal library. His personality, past accom- plishments and future plans have earned for him the respect and affection he , .jgw receives. GIBSON, III ASSISTANT DEAN OF THE scHooL OF LAW Assistant Professor of Law Mr. Gibson became a member of The University of Texas School of Law faculty in 1949 as an Instructor in Law. He was Texas State Librarian 1952-1954, and returned to the School of Law as Assistant Professor and Associate Law Librarian until 1956 when he became Assistant Dean.
