To Dr. Iohn L. Waller, Dean of the Graduate Divi- sion, we dedicate this 1957 Flowsheet, in gratitude for the service he has rendered this school and its students for the past twenty-tive years. Dr. Waller has taught since 1906, except for time out for graduate Work and overseas duty in World War I. He came to Texas Western in 1931 to serve as Chairman of the enlarged Department of His- tory and Government, when the college was authorized to offer a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1940, when the Graduate Council was established, Dr. Waller was made its first chairman. Since that time he has served in this capacity. We of the Flowsheet are proud to present this an- nual to this man who has been an integral part of Texas Western's growth.
