Dynamic Duo from North Caro- lina is optimistic that their three prodigies of 1977 are three of the best, and that next year's -' group of thirteen students will be more of a challenge, but just as much of a success. They will cer- tainly be an asset to the dental students, probably in more than t. one way. The first class of Dental Laboratory Technology entered school in August of I976. As key members of the Dental Health Team, these technicians work from prescriptions provided by the dentist to fabricate appliances used to replace or restore natural teeth that have been lost to disease or accident. These appliances include dentures, both full and partial, inlays, crowns, bridges, maxillofacial prostheses, and orthodontic appliances, such as braces and retainers. Editor's note: We sincerely apologize to the lab techs for failing to include pictures, etc. at their activities this year, due to lim- ited time and limited manpower, but this problem will be alleviated in time for the 1978 FANG. Although our instructors kept the heat on us at school, we organized several par- ties during the year to douse any potential flames, as well as being invited to attend many of the dental students' parties.
