Mr. McGill served as director of the Texas Memorial Stadium campaign and, as vice-chairman of the University Union campaign, he helped to raise funds for the construction of Gregory Gym, the Women ' s Gym, Hogg Auditorium and the Texas Union. While a student he and Dean Arno Nowotny founded the Texas Cowboys. Mr. McGill served as first foreman of the group in 1922-23.
