During the past year, the organization has had over 1300 participating members who have paid dues. The funds derived from these dues have made possible the publication of the U.T. Dads ' Digest, and an experimental high school visitation program which has proved very successful. A Dads ' Scholarship Fund was started in 1951-1952. The highpoint of Dads ' Association activities came this year with the annual Dads ' Day held on the campus. Fathers were taken on tours of the campus, and honored at a coffee (mothers had their own). They were addressed by Chancellor James P. Hart and by President Harry Webb, who gave the annual report. In addition, the Association made awards to the Best All-Round Boy and the Best All-Round Girl at the University. The awards this year went to Ralph Person of Karnes City, and Ann Rosborough of Tyler. Further encouragement of good citizenship was made by the Dads ' this year when they co-operated with the Campus League of Women Voters in presenting an award to the Outstanding Assemblyman of 1952, Sidney Siegel of Paris.
