Now that that project is finished he is free to continue his work as friend and coun- selor to aspiring journalists. C. P. BONER Dean, College of Arts and Sciences It ' s a good trick (if you can do it) to work with guided missiles at the Defense Research Laboratory and be Dean of the largest college on the campus. And Dr. Boner does it. In his spare time, he enjoys experimenting with the arts especially organs. HENRY M. BURLAGE Dean, College of Pharmacy Dr. Burlage left the University of North Caro- lina in 1947 to become dean of the UT College of Pharmacy. When not busy with Rho Chi, Sigma Xi, Phi Lambda Upsilon, Alpha Chi, and Kappa Psi, you might find him caring for his prize winning show dogs that ' s his hobby. ALEXANDER MOFFITT University Librarian Mr. Moffitt is one of the unsung heroes of the campus. He ' s the man who keeps over 900,000 University library books in circulation. As head of the University depository, he directs the best library in the Southwest. L. L. CLICK Associate Dean, College of Arts and Sciences By his own admission, Dean Click is a book- worm. In fact, he calls that his hobby. As a professor of English, he is a recognized author- ity on literature. PACK 17

WILLIAM D. BLUNK Assistant Dean of Student Life Dean Blunk is active as Secretary of the Dads ' Association and editor of the organization ' s magazine, Dad ' s Digest. The official censor for campus shows, the assistant dean is chairman of the Rally Committee and the Orientation Committee and is in charge of summer enter- tainment. JESSE EARL ANDERSON Assistant to the Dean of Women Miss Anderson leads a busy life working with students in Cap and Gown, Co-Ed Assembly, WICA, and the Orientation Council. In addi- tion, she is house chairman of women ' s resi- dences. The dean enjoys horseback-riding in her spare time. MARGARET PECK Assistant Dean of Women When Miss Peck isn ' t in the Dean ' s office, you might find her fishing on Lake Austin. That, however, would be rare, for she is usually busy working with Panhellenic, the State Board of Mental Hygiene, or students who just want to chat. HELEN M. FLINN Assistant to the Dean of Women After working with University-owned women ' s dormitories since 1936, Miss Flinn moved to the Dean of Women ' s office and is now working with students in a different phase of their col- lege lives. She is chairman of the social calendar committee and is always on hand to advise organizations and individuals on social activities. CARL V. BREDT Associate Dean of Student Life A man of varied interests, Mr. Bredt was a Southwest Conference football official for five years, and was at one time sponsor of the Men ' s Glee Club. In addition, the genial associate dean enjoys playing at golf and training bird dogs. PAGE 16

HARWELL HAMILTON HARRIS Director, School of Architecture With a long list of accomplishments Dr. Harris came to the University in 1951. In 1939 he was given recognition in Encyclopaedia Brit- tanica. In 1941 a house he designed was illus- trated in Life magazine. In fact, his works have been widely published not only in Ameri- can periodicals, but also in Swiss, Argentine, German, Swedish, and Japanese publictaions. A. P. BROGAN Dean, Graduate School From an instructor in philosophy to Dean of the Graduate School and president of the Con- ference of Deans of Southern Graduate Schools that ' s Dean Brogan. Little wonder his wife claims his hobby is the University. Dean Bro- gan has been listed in Who ' s Who in America since 1938. WILLIS RAYMOND WOOLRICH Dean, College of Engineering Dean Woolrich has not confined his many talents to The University of Texas. In 1948 he served as the chief scientific officer of the Scientific Section of the US Embassy in Eng- land. As president of the American Society of Engineering Education, he represented that or- ganization at an international meeting on engi- neering education in Jauary, 1953. LAURENCE D. HASKEW Dean, College of Education Tall and lanky, but not from Texas, Dean Haskew is known as a journalist, as well as a teacher. And as a teacher, he is a familiar sight not only in Sutton Hall, but also in the Uni- versity Methodist Church. The Dean is a mem- ber of Phi Beta Kappa. LEWIS LINDAHL Bursar Mr. Lindahl definitely knows the ropes in the Auditor ' s Office. When he came to the University in 1929, he served as assistant book- keeper. Between that time and February, 1948, when he became Bursar, he was bookkeeper, cashier, and supervisor. CHARLES W. ROBERTS, JR. Director, Student Employment Bureau; Co-ordinator of Religious Activities Before taking over his present duties, friendly Mr. Roberts served as Veteran ' s Advisor in addition to his work as Religious Co-ordinator. On the side Mr. Roberts enjoys antique col- lecting. PAGE 18
