Now if everyone would feel as relaxed in front of the camera, what an easy job we ' d have. L. L. CLICK Associate Dean, College of Arts and Sciences Dr. Click reviews local Austin events while relaxing in his library. He is associate dean of the largest college in the University. CHARLES W. ROBERTS, JR. He was probably thinking of those 990,- 617 volumes he ' s in charge of. PAGE 17 HELEN M. FLINN Assistant Dean of Women Miss Flinn joined Dean Gebauer ' s staff this year to co-ordinate and aid the dormitory ad- visors. Here she relaxes for the moment at her beautiful Lake Austin lodge.

WILLIAM D. BLUNK Assistant to the Dean of Student Life The camera catches Dean Blank as he proudly records the progress of talented sons David and Dan. In addition to his day-unto-night job of governing extra curricular activities, he has re- cently won a citation for the most number of hours spent judging beauty contests. How about that, Mrs. Blunk? CARL V. BREDT Associate Dean of Student Life Another of the most popular officials, Carl ' s pa- tience in handling difficult student-housemother problems has paid off much good-will. He ' s mighty proud of Pat and Tex, who really deserve the credit for Carl ' s fine reputation as a hunter. He also referees many of the local basketball and baseball games for Austin High. : MARGARET PECK Assistant Dean of Women One of the indispensable assistants in the dean ' s office is Miss Peck. The camera apologizes for its poor ability to capture her wonderful personality which has made her a favorite, particularly with the Panhellenic Council. PEARL B. WALKER Assistant to the Dean of Women And here ' s our faithful Social Calendar OKer, taking a moment off from preparing the busy schedules of UT partygoers. Miss Walker really pitched into the big job this year since Miss Allison left the 40 Acres. JESSE EARL ANDERSON Assistant to the Dean of Women Likeable Miss Anderson pulls a McCarthy on us while stopping long enough to pose. The CAC- TUS is especially indebted for the time and work spent in helping to select the Outstanding Stu- dents and Bluebonnet Belles this year. Thanks a lot, Miss Anderson. 7 PACE 16

C. P. BONNER Dean, College of Arts and Sciences When it comes to the rights and wrongs of organs, you ' d better consult the expert who was here caught while tuning up the Cethseman Lutheran Church ' s fine organ. And as our pho- tographer learned, maneuvering in the 24-inch space between pipes is no easy trick unless you ' re built right in the right places. WILLIS RAYMOND WOOLRICH Dean, College of Engineering Dean Woolrich and granddaughter, Jo, have a big chuckle over the Theory of Hydrodynamics. Careful there, Jo, don ' t let him talk you into that engineering field; it ' s full of men! WILLIAM R. SPRIEGEL Dean, College of Business Administration What pose could be more typical for the popular after-dinner speaker, Bill Spriegel? Between his administrative duties and teaching, Dean Spriegel still manages to write texts in his field of management and to make several public ad- dresses each month. H l HARWELL HAMILTON HARRIS Director, School of Architecture Hah! Another one of those you-take-the-picture- while-I-take-the-picture shots. But Mr. Harris is no novice those films will be used for instruc- tional purposes in his design classes. LAURENCE D. HASKEW Dean, College of Education Setting an admirable example. Dean Haskew finds time from his rugged administrative sched- ule to teach Sunday School regularly. Here we peek in on his Bible Class at the University Methodist Church. PAGE 18 JAMES R. D. EDDY Dean, Division of Extension Mr. Eddy won ' t try to kid you he doesn ' t really build barbecue pits, work in his woodshop, and replace radio condensers while in a white shirt and tie. But he was just about to start a trip to Dallas this day, so we excused him from changing into his more natural working garb.
