STUDENTS ' ASSOCIATION The function of the Students ' Association is to provide a medium of expression for the opinions of the student body. The President serves as the presiding officer of the Student Assembly, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Texas Union, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Texas Student Publications. In addition to succeeding to the presidency in cases of emergency, the Vice-President acts as chair- man of all finance and appropriations committees of the Association and as Chairman of the Social Calendar Committee. It is the Secretary who compiles the yearbook of the Association and performs numerous other duties of a secretarial nature. Ferguson, Jr., Law The Student Assembly is the legislative branch of the Students ' Association. In addition to its legislative duties, 3ft the Assembly appoiigfS committees to do research in many of the student activities. The three most active committees appointed are the Council on Fair Business, Grievance Committee, and the International Council.
