STUDENT COURT Chief Justice CHARLES SPICER ASSOCIATE JUSTICES ANN COMBS JEANINE EMINIAN ROBERT TETLEY LARRY WARBURTON The Student Court interprets and has the power to examine books of campus organizations, to decide on disputed elections, and to impel student officials to carry out the duties of their respective offices to the fullest extent. The Chief Justice also appoints the election committee whose chairman for the year 1948-1949 was Joe Bart Strayhorn. In April the Student Court decided cases which concerned the late filing of two students for editorial positions on the Daily Texan and the appropria- ting for the Southwestern Sportsmanship Association banquet. Chief Justice Charles Spicer resigned in February and Larry Warburton was appointed to his position. Warren White was appointed to fill Warburton ' s position, and Meredith Long re- placed Associate Justice Robert Tetley in February.
