He is called the -flying because of his frequent flights to Dallas to teach a class there. KATHERINE ERNESTI NE WHEATLEY, Ph.D., Associate Professor Romance Languages. She is outstanding in the field of Linguistics and has been on the faculty since 1917 except for several years away for graduate and foreign study. REX DEYERN HOPPER, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Sociology. He is active in student, church, and civic affairs and is a popular lecturer. He if on the staff of the Summer School of the University of Mexico. MARY ERNESTINE GOLDMANN. M.S. (left I. Assistant Professor of Home Economics. She is in charge of the Home Economics Practice Houses. She is an ex-student of the University and joined the teaching staff in 1941. COLLIER READ CRANBERRY. M.S.. Professor of Electrical Engineer- ing: Coordinator. Engineering Science, and Management War Training. He i a very hu man these days as the University tries to do its part in the war effort.

HUGO LEIPZIGER (right), Architect, Instructor in Architecture. He is an exceptionally interesting teacher and is an authority on city and regional planning. He has been a member of the faculty of the University since 1940. MARIE BETZNER MORROW, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Botany ami Bacteriology. She is conducting a research on molds and allergies. Besides sponsoring the Present Day Club, she is active in many student affairs. She has been on the staff since 1927. MARJORIE ANNETTA NEWTON, B.S., Instructor in Physical Training for Women. She teaches tennis, golf and swimming. She came to the University in 1943 and is from Atlanta, Georgia. HARRY JOSHUA LEON, Ph.D. (left), Professor and Chairman of the Department of Classical Languages. An excellent teacher and an eminent scholar, he has been on the University staff since 1923. ERICH WALTER ZIMMERMAN, Ph.D., Professor of Resources, School of Business Administration. He is a distinguished professor of Business Administration and an outstanding authority on world resources and industry.

OLIVER DOUGLAS WEEKS, Ph.D. (right), Professor of ' Government. Dr. Weeks has been of great help this year as faculty advisor to the Students ' Assembly. WILLIAM RUST NEVILLE, JR., Ph.G.. Associate Professor of Pharmacy. He has been on the University staff since 1924 and has been active in the development of the medicinal plant garden. He is an ex- student of the University. FREDERIC DUNCALF, Ph.D., Professor of Medieval History. ,t excellent lecturer and outstanding teacher. He is interested in Plan II and teaches a special course for students under this Plan. ERNEST RANDOLPH HARDIN, M.A. (left). Assistant Professor of Speech. His hobby is art and he is a very talented painter and designer. He has traveled extensively and has taught at the University since 1932. ROGER COOK OSBORN, M.A., Instructor in Applied Mathematics and Astronomy. An ex-student of the University and a new addition to the teaching staff, he has been on the faculty since 1942.
