The chapter received an outstanding ratingfor the tenth consecutive year 51986-872 out of 800+ chapters nationwide. Chapter programs and projects include: High School Science Bowl, Area Collegiate Chemistry Meetings, Outstanding Science Fair Projects Exhibit at the University Museum, Innovative Activity Grants for projects like Chemical Aspects of Paper Deterioration and Preservation, and Study of Indoor Pollu- tants - Radon, Asbestos and Formaldehyde, speakers, films, chem- istry help sessions, etc .... SAACS celebration of National Chemistry Day, November 6, 1987 with featured speaker Dr. Mary D.
