Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity was chartered on UTM's campus in the Spring of 1970. The purpose of A Phi O is to establish brotherhood amongst men and iooinen who share a spirit of Service. The brothers and sisters of A Phi O are very active on cainpas. Many are involved in PER MED, Campus, Rec, LIAC, lntranznrals, R,A., the Pacen and the Spirit staff. Alpha Phi Ornega sponsors rnany carnpzis events and is involved in many service projects. Spring, 1986 was the second year A Phi O coordinated All-Sing. A Phi O also sponsors blood drives, fund rais- ers, area cleanups and visits the local Senior Citizen Center: Receiving the H. Roe Bartle National Azeard is an honor for Chi Zeta and we are all very proud. A Phi O's services are rendered to young and old alike. For need knows no age and the spirit of service no discriinination. X 6' 'gage ZET TAU LPI-I 294 Zeta 'Riu Alpha 23' un The key to Zeta Tau Alplza is individuality, lt is found in the unique talent of each girl and strengthened through dedication and hard work. Zeta's are very active in university life. They participate in UAC, PER cheerleading, fraternity little sisters programs, various professional organizations and all intramural sports. As well as being involved in all aspects of UTM. campus activities, Zeta's strongly support community service and sponsor an eating disorders program in the fall. The proceeds from the Zeta Man calendar and Zeta's Almost Newlyzoed Game go to the National Association for Retarded Citizens which is the fraterni- ty's national Philanthrophy. Zeta's shine in Panhellenic activities. Delta Mu's Ianice Hackney was chosen as Greek Woman ofthe Year Scholarship is an important part of Zeta Tau Alpha. At tlze 1987 Panhellenic Banquet, the Scholarship Award was retired to Zeta after winning it for nine consecutive years. Sisterhood is the foundation ofZeta Tau Alpha. It is the special kind of love that is only found within the Zeta circle. It is the type of sisterhood that makes one feel like an individual, and gives each member the assurance that her sisters love her for who she is.
