 creu ct 4 By presenting to you the 1949 Moroccan, we have tried to bring an accurate representation of life at the University of Tampa. This year we would like to introduce to you Moro C. Can, the little man who isn’t there, as our theme. Moro C. Can, the University’s perennial freshman, entered this institution some time in the late 1930’s, but there is no record of his high school preparation, admission, or college credits. A peek into Business Office records might show that he is listed as delinquent in his college fees, but no one can definitely lay hands on him to collect. In the Spring elections Moro C. Can received two votes for President of the Student Body and one for Senior Representative. With a little of the right” political support he might have gone far. Rumors have circulated frequently that a strange figure has often been seen climbing the circular stairs across from the Library, or wandering down the upstairs hall by Dr. Laub’s office, or climbing over statues late at night in the lobby. No one has definitely mentioned Moro C. Can but we believe it was he. In following Moro C. Can through the 1949 Moroccan we hope you enjoy seeing him as much as we enjoy presenting him to you.
