With us we will take the memory of your fine leadership, vital personality, and undivided devotion to our university. (5n tlj? ©tty nf (Hampa Those of us affiliated with the University of Tampa wish to express our sincere thanks to you, the City of Tampa, for your complete cooperation and understanding in making the necessary improvements on our school possible. Without these factors, which you so generously offered, our cause would have been completely lost. These four lines are the heart of what has been going on at the University of Tampa during the past year. From the beginning of our $50,000 property improvement campaign, changes have been made every day. First, the minarets donned a new coat of paint which turned the eyes of Tampa on the University and to what was being accomplished within. Secondly, as the money came in, new life and color became the theme, and the rhythm of ham mers added to the symphony of change. Today our University looks like a new place. Though the campaign is officially over, donations continue to come in, which is proof that Tampa is vitally interested in our school. Among the student body we see many new and many old familiar faces. We extend a cordial welcome to those who have joined our ranks for the first time and a hearty and sincere greeting to those who have returned after so long an absence. We are much encouraged by the number of veterans who are taking advantage of the G.I. Bill of Rights and Public 16 and we will do what we can to help them while they are with us. The University of Tampa faces a future full of hope and promise; we all must work together toward this end. NO 'i IN MAY 1530. HERNANDO DF SO TO LANDED AT TA V BAY. IN Pt ANT PARK.
