SSn .T S-S' ( a A DEDICATION To Dr. C. Herbert Laub. we. the staff of the 1944 Moroccan, dedicate this senior yearbook. In choosing him. we were mindful of his interest in our activities and traditions, in our university activities, and in our alumni. We dedicate this book to him because of his valuable aid and advice, and because he has been to us professor, friend, and advisor. Always friendly and pleasant. Dr. Laub is famous for his readings from Dcrc Mabel'' to the last class of every semester. In fondness and admiration we dedicate this book to Dr. Laub.

1 FOREWORD “Let us be patient . . these days of strife, affliction and heartache will cease and trouble our hearts no more. Each new day brings with it readjustments brought on by this war. But our thoughts stray to many cherished memories of past experiences in by-gone days. Our hearts, filled with hope for the future. that this recording of experiences in our alma mater will reach its destination—to that of our boys, “who more than self their country loved.” It has. of course, affected our production but in efTort, diligence, conscientiousness, and perseverance it has remained the same. Looking forward to the future, we. the staff of the Moroccan, present this book. shout the word “onward” to our boys. We have great hopes 1594S6

Jln iH moriam These arc our boys that have made a contribution toward peace so great that our everyday smallness is vividly apparent to us. These arc Tampa U. boys who. when called upon, were capable and willing to handle their job and their duty. These arc the boys who laughed a lot, studied with interest, played on our teams, yelled their voices out at games, watched Tampa U. grow, and loved it with pride in their hearts. Then they went out to help our country win a fight. Often they must have thought of Tampa U. in the memories men have when they arc far from familiar things. Now we are remembering them. They shall never be lost to us or to the world, for theirs is a spirit that never dies. We are proud of them.
