At present, the university ollment of 1300 students 73 faculty members and a physical plant of some 35 accommodates an enr , buildings. The older buildings are gradually being replaced and the newest addition is Doherty Library. B nd students, buildings and history, what is the heart and core of the University of St. eyo Thomas but the purpose for which it was founded. St. Thomas exists as a co-educational, liberal arts institution, providing guidance of thought within a religious framework. The purpose: to sup- port a humanistic spirit in a super-automated society. This goal is met in teaching of the disciplines of philisophy and theology.
