Spirit Spectacular 'W '9'.'9l 'Fl SP Students take a look at USM USM held it's annual Spirit Spec- tacular during homecoming weekend. High school juniors and seniors from throughout Mississippi and surround- ing states came to tour the University and attend the football game. The members of Southern Style took small groups around campus and pointed out the major parts of USM's grounds. Each School inside the uni- versity set up a display in the Union lobby. The students were given time to browse throughout these displays and see what USM had to offer. The Army and Air Force also set up dis- plays for those interested in joining the armed forces. Students were given free time to explore the campus. Many chose to lo Campus Life look up old friends from home, while others chose to visit the resident halls so that they could decide where they wanted to live for their college years. Still, others chose to join the college crowd and hung out in front of the Hub. The students were informed about high school weekend in the Spring and also about Mini-Quarter in the summer. Those with decided majors visited the school associated with their choice. This weekend gave USM the chance to shine. The spirits of the campus were up due to homecoming and there were a number of alums around to help spread that Eagle Fe- ver.
