Sorority u h ot what ou would expect Rush was not anything like anyone expected. lt 25 was far more than just a bunch of sorority women ,fe meeting a bunch of rushees. It was a week of hard L, - ' work, trials. and tribulations. lg ,V 1 Rush for the sororities began in the Spring gf: ' ' semester. There were workshops held in which a number of girls spent countless hours perfecting f skits and songs. Lots of time was also spent work- l ing on props and costumes. The skits and songs E performed each day of rush helped explain to the : rushees a little of what Greek life is like at USM. During the week of rush, about three hundred girls went to parties,watched skits, and talked to lF fi sorority members. After all of these activities 1, ff F- , -TJ took place, the final decision rested in both the 5 J ' ' i' hands of the rushees and the sororities. . I Bid Day was exciting for both groups. Once Qi bids were handed out, the rushees ran from Scott Hall to Panhellinic to find their new sisters. Left: On Bid Day,the floors of Panhellinic were as excited as the rushees.
