P' f, ...J . lk ug The full spirit of Greek Games was captured as fraternities and sororities came together to share in a day of fun, competition and ia-25 fa:-sq 5 excitement last Spring. An annual event, the day is filled with a variety of events, ranging anywhere from a series of canoe races to a simple sack race. Enthusiasm filled the air as the Greeks competed, all displaying the most important character of the day-good sportsmanship. Top honors went to Sigma Alpha Epsilon in the fraternity divi- sion and Alpha Sigma Alpha in the sorority division.

Rush a time of indecision . .. a time to decide. Each sorority offers a bond of friendship and sisterhood, each of which is unique to the other. During the week preceding Fall Semester, each girl is given an opportunity to sample and be a part of that certain atmosphere that seals the bonds of sisterhood. In 1978, Southern's nine sororities opened their doors to over three hundred girls during formal rush. A week of activity, the anticipation and excitement mounted as bid day drew near-and then it happened-no longer was Rush a time of indecision or a time to decide-it became a reality!
