College Life A university is a world all in its own and should be recog- nized as such. It offers a place to live, eat, work, learn and re- lax. The college years are a transition period for most stu- dents. Students are sliding out from under the protective wing of their families and moving into the harsh world of busi- ness and making a living. Al- though college should prepare students for this working world, it acts as a lingering time of childhood for many. Unprotected by families, they cut loose and do all the living they possibly can before set- tling down. College life is dif- ferent from any other period in a person's life and students should take advantage of it. 20
