. . . but they are the students of Southern and there can be no better. While the stu- dents are the vital and, perhaps, most impor- tant estate in the university community, there exist other integral sectors instrumental in the pursuit of academic excellence, of social discipline, of physical operation. While many times these students may disagree, their wel- fare and their purpose is of utmost considera- tion. In the hands of trained professionals, they are instructed in the numerous skills of intellect. Under the guidance of competent men and women, they are disciplined accord- ing to the social mores of our community liv- ing. In the less noted perfection of skilled workers, their physical well-being is attend- ed. The faculty, the administration, and the university stay? correlate their professional- ism with the rigor of communal existence. The student is their focal point and all center therearound. The students learn more than mere bo-oks could ever offer. They learn to live their lives irreproachable of the harms of society. Without the guiding minds and hands to assist, the students might fail to realize the full life. To these men and women we must give credit, a personal gratitude, and perhaps peace of mind. Since they are the compellant force behind the students, they, too, within the realm of personal satisfaction, can share such a dedication.
