OF EDUCATION Training feachers and school adminisfraiors has been a parl of Mississippi Soulhern College since i+s founding, buf only in I957 when 1'he college was reorganized was 'rhe School of Educaiion and Psychology eslablished formally. The reorganizaiion from a division info a school was a mark of growlh and progress. The primary purpose of rhe School of Educalion is 'ro improve fhe schools of Mississippi, and all deparlmenls of fhe School make fheir coniribufion foward lhis goal. Fifleen undergraduale deparlmenfs, areas, and special services are included in rhe School of Educafion and AND PSYCHCJLOGY Psychology, each of which has an adminisfrafive chairman or direclor. The Deparfmenl' of Guidance and lhe Deparl- mem' of School Adminislralion, Supervision, and Curriculum, which are of graduafe ranlc, are joined by ihe graduafe areas of ofher undergraduale deparimenls of 'rhe School, and adrninislered in a similar manner 'ro rhe undergraduale areas.
