Their first days in college are made easier by those who already have found their place in college life. Parting from the family, friends at home--the strangeness of a new place soon disappears because Southern is not the place where one can ever feel out of place or lonely.

All new students experience the feeling of being lost at their first registration. The long lines, the strange faces, all cause some anxiety. However, when the crowd gathers down in Wimpy's or when it rushes over to the post office, the informality which makes Southern famous soon suppresses all fears in the green members of Dr. Cook's great family. Jw? L Of course, there must be some time for studying and going to classes. The Southern ers, however, take all of this academic pro- cedure in their stride with the same smiling friendly attitude, for even the library isn't always dull.
