f f ya it l'm?f12ff A life divided into two parts-work and play, or as we have named it Curricular and Extra-Curricular. Work has been defined as anything one is bound to do and Play as any- thing one is not bound to do, but in this case the definition of Work must be changed. Most of us are in college to work, yet our working is not a matter of being bound to do so. We are concerned with the using of every possible means for the furtherance of our education. Most of us realize what an education is and know how to go about getting what we want. We realize that an education is not merely cramming facts and figures. We realize that an education is not merely dancing all night and cutting classes to sleep the next day. We are here to gain as nearly a true education as is possible by learning how to so balance work with play that we come out at the end of the day without being in debt to either. So, we have divided this book into two parts-the Cur- ricular, dealing with the Work at Mississippi Southern and the Extra-Curricular, which shows the Play side of our lives.
