NEKA CAMGN, 1927 F65 1111 Jill ingggaggna III! 1111 6552: ARTHUR V. IIAYS Mr. Hays, yes, it was Mr. Hays on whom all called, from the president of the college to the most bewildered student. He helped to bear the burden of everyone. If he got tired, he never com- plaind. He loved the college and gave it his best service and his best thought. He is the author of the idea of the Memorial Station. He thought out and put into execution the plan of elms, live oaks and magnolias. He was a friend whose loyalty was never doubted. His friendship did not lessen because his friend went the way of all the earth and got into trouble. Yes, Arthur V. Hays was a man, and his memory is precious to us all. JOE COOK. 2I Zin illlvmnriam MRS. PEARL TRAVIS Mrs. Travis was a lover of order and beauty, and this love was shown in her daily work. She was always gracious, sympathetic, and willing to help anyone who came to the library. There was no limit to her spirit of service. Mrs. Travis had been librarian at the State Teachers' College since its beginning. The college has never had a more efficient or more faithful of- ficer. She was a friend to everyone, and the mem- ory of her will long be an inspiration and :1 benediction to all who knew her. lil! UaS23CiZH Htl CRW
