STROLLERS The men and women of the Alpha Tau Omega - Indepen- dent Strollers show cast took home the first place trophy this year. Second place went to Delta Tau Delta and Alpha Xi Delta. Third was won by Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Kappa Alpha Theta. This year there were eight shows participating in the com- petition. Four shows were shown Thursday and four Friday. The five top shows went on to final competition on Saturday night. The shows this year varied from the rendition of American Bandstandn by the winning show to a tribal feud, a patriotic review of American history, an all male back alley gang, a dream world, a futuristic world, a town fighting to free itself from an evil villain, and a ehildren's gang, the donuts. A s r 1 W On Saturday morning all-time losers got their chance for glory as floats honoring those losers were displayed in the traditional parade. In violation of the D-Day theme, Harry Gamage the winningest coach in football history of USD led the parade as the 1971 Honorary Parade Marshall. Saturday's activities also included dedication of the School of Business Patterson Hall in honor of the late Dean R. F. Patterson: and awarding Douglas Steckler, Di- rector of Financial Aids, the University of South Dakota Service Award for outstanding service.
